Overall terrible service due to multiple reasons.

Job - Engine supply and fit by Fairfield autoparts

Time frame - from original 2-3 days was more than week. Always delaying the final day, left me without ute for more than 7 days therefore impacted my ability as tradesman

Unsure but possible steal attempt - asked speficaly to keep my injectors from old engine ( they were brand new genuine retailing over 4000$ ). After job was done they gave me back some different aftermarket cheap injectors. After noting that they start sending me different ones. Only after realising I have picture of codes on them they have sent me back my old ones.

Quality of work - right the day of the pick up my car jumped into limp mode and engine is noisy around 2k rpm to this day even when I was told it was driven and checked.
Contacted fairfield auto and had to deliver car to them again for inspection. They came back telling me that my exhaust is not genuine and it is causing all these issues ( standart 3inch exhaust, nothing unusual for hilux 1KD engine) also telling me this car was tuned ( never tuned it ) and this is causing issues. Day after they came back and told me it is only turbo charger actuator and rest is good.

Car damage - they have returned my car damaged on side. After bringing this up they denied any faults on their side and did not even bother checking cameras. Manager told me that I have to pay him 100$ to check cameras. Which is extremely rude and u professional. Ended up paying over 400$ for car detailing/buffing out of my pocket. Manager name was Elias I believe.

Would never deal with this business and never would recomend to anyone. You might get lucky and there won't be any problems , but if there are you can be assured that these shady guys are not helping you.

I had such a great experience with Kev at Fairfield Auto Parts & Wrecking. He was honest, quick to respond, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything clearly, offered fair pricing, and made the whole process stress-free.

It’s rare to find someone in this industry who is this reliable and easy to deal with. Highly recommend Kev — I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I need parts or advice. Great service, great communication, and overall an awesome experience.

Another reason to praise Harry from Epsom Smash Repairs is that he recommended Fairfield Auto Parts & Wreckers to me. These guys are something rare in an industry with overpriced parts and labour costs: fair pricing and genuine service. They also always have parts for my 20yo baby (ECHO!).

So to recap: genuine Toyota parts fairly priced, quality tested, a years' warranty and to top it off, Dean is an awesome guy, friendly and caring...what's not to love about this place! Well...except for the nearly hour long trip to get there for myself, but it's worth it!
I have been here twice, the first time after stupidly reversing into a tree and busting up my tail-light in the process (though tbf, it was jutting out into the street!) and yesterday to pick up an alternator.

They also have a good arrangement with a few mechanics around the area, who can install the part/s for a fair price there as well. Much appreciated, especially in the current climate for car repairs in Sydney.
